Lorena Bonet Velazquez is the Health Justice Policy Associate at the National Partnership for Women & Families, where she supports the health justice team across its three focus areas: maternal health, reproductive health and rights, and health system transformation.

Before joining the National Partnership, Lorena worked with various direct service nonprofits, providing resource support to underserved communities, including immigrant populations. She brings extensive experience in advocating for reproductive rights, leading sexual health programming, and addressing gender-based violence in her undergraduate college. Most recently, she served as the Sexual and Reproductive Health Coordinator at the Latin American Youth Center in DC, where she oversaw STI, HIV, and pregnancy testing and counseling services.

Outside of work, Lorena enjoys using theater to raise awareness and inspire action on social justice issues, experimenting with new recipes to share with friends, and dancing her heart out to Caribbean music.
