Nadia Laniyan is the director of congressional relations, health justice at the National Partnership for Women & Families, where she develops and executes federal legislative strategy for the health justice portfolio which includes health system transformation, maternal health, health coverage and equity issues.

Before joining the National Partnership, Nadia spent four years on Capitol Hill serving on the legislative teams of Senator Cory Booker, where she led the health portfolio that focused on issues like maternal health, fertility, and health equity, and the Senate Committee on Finance under Chairman Ron Wyden, where she primarily worked on Medicaid and mental health policy. She also worked for the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs, where she worked to build the capacity of maternal mortality review committees and on infant health initiatives.

Nadia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health Equity, a major that she developed in the Individual Studies Program at the University of Maryland, College Park, and Master of Science in Health Communication from Northwestern University.
