Shannon Bonney is the economic justice program associate at the National Partnership for Women & Families where she supports the economic justice team.
Prior to this, Shannon was the executive coordinator for development at the Center for American Progress where she supported fundraising efforts for policy, communications, and advocacy work across the organization. Previously, she served on the financial and development team for Duke Mutual Aid, where she set up organizational operations to provide financial assistance directly to community members in need.
Shannon was born and raised in Philadelphia and received a B.S. in environmental science and gender, sexuality, and feminist studies from Duke University. Outside of work, she likes to read science fiction and fantasy books, play with her cat, and travel to new places around the world.
