Michelle Feit is the Director of Congressional Relations, Economic Justice at the National Partnership for Women & Families. Michelle develops and executes federal legislative strategy for the National Partnership’s economic justice portfolio, which focuses on policies that promote workplace equity and combat discrimination. Her key issues are paid family and medical leave, paid sick days, and any policy related to workplace leave; fair pay; pregnancy discrimination; and workplace harassment.
Prior to joining the National Partnership, Michelle spent five years on Capitol Hill serving on the policy teams for Senator Barbara Mikulski and Congresswoman Jackie Speier. While on Senator Mikulski’s team, she led the effort to bring the Belmont-Paul Women’s Equality National Monument into the National Park System. Outside of work, Michelle has volunteered with Jews United for Justice, the DC Paid Family Leave Campaign, and various national and local political campaigns. A lifelong Marylander, Michelle lives in Silver Spring with her husband and child, and holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland.
