Anwesha Majumder is the first Economist at the National Partnership for Women & Families, where she will play a central role in the National Partnership’s development of quantitative economic research to advance the organization’s research and policy agendas.

Prior to joining the National Partnership, Anwesha pursued health equity and health care quality improvement at the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission and the US News & World Report Best Hospitals team, as well as economic justice for women of color at TIME’S UP. She has also performed field epidemiology for vaccine-preventable diseases and monitored public health priorities at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization.

Anwesha holds a Master of Health Sciences in infectious disease epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a bachelor’s in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. Outside of work, she can be found tending to her houseplants and house rabbits, volunteering, running slowly, and exploring interior design and fashion.
