In celebration of its 45th anniversary, the National Partnership for Women & Families will hold a gala dinner honoring key champions for the policies America’s women and families need: U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Sylvia M. Burwell, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, PwC LLP U.S. Chairman and Senior Partner Robert E. Moritz, and U.S. Senator Barbara A. Mikulski, who will receive the organization’s first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award for her own 45 years of public service.

The event will feature remarks from Secretary Burwell, Senators Gillibrand and Mikulski, and Moritz. National Partnership for Women & Families President Debra L. Ness will discuss the organization’s 45 years of work to make the country more healthy, fair and family friendly. She will talk about the challenges America’s women and families continue to face and lay out a vision for a future that includes a national paid family and medical leave insurance program; a federal paid sick days standard; an end to pay and pregnancy discrimination; fair and livable wages; and increased access to quality, affordable health care, including high-quality maternity care and comprehensive reproductive health services.
Ellen Malcolm, chair of the boards of directors of the National Partnership and EMILY’s List, will speak and emcee the event.
