National Partnership welcomes Miriam Cash as the newest addition to the Communications Team

WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 6, 2023 – Today the National Partnership for Women & Families announced the addition of Miriam Cash to the communications team as the Director of National Media. This new role is dedicated to the expansion and growth of the Partnership’s voice and presence in media and online spaces.

Miriam joins the National Partnership with a range of experience leading communications efforts for progressive organizations and congressional offices. She brings a deep understanding of economic and health care policy from several years on Capitol Hill where she helped lead communications strategy and press efforts for U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren and Kirsten Gillibrand – and most recently served as Communications Director for U.S. Representative Mondaire Jones. Additionally, Miriam held several roles on the communications team at EMILY’s List, helping to uplift stories of the historic number of women in politics during the 2018 and 2020 cycles.

Miriam will bring long standing relationships with reporters at national and local media outlets across the country to help amplify coverage of the National Partnership’s core work to create equitable and safe working and living conditions for women and families.

“Centering equity and justice in the stories we tell is a crucial part of our work,” said Jocelyn Frye, President of the National Partnership for Women & Families. “I look forward to working with Miriam to build on our current efforts, while also expanding our reach.”

“As the Partnership continues to grow and diversify, we believe it’s critical to ensure that we have the infrastructure needed to amplify issues important to women and their families,” said Amaya Smith, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the National Partnership for Women & Families. “We’re excited that Miriam brings new energy and tested experience that will help move the needle on our economic and health justice work.”

“To build an economy that works for everyone, it’s critical that our nation’s policy accounts for the lived experiences of women and families across our country, particularly women of color who have too often been overlooked in policy making decisions. I’m thrilled to join the talented team at the National Partnership and support our important work fighting for economic and health equity that will help every community thrive,” said Miriam Cash, Director of National Media for National Partnership for Women & Families.
