Website highlights business leadership, research and best practices supporting a national paid family and medical leave policy.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – February 4, 2026 – Today, the National Partnership for Women & Families (NPWF) debuted a refresh of AdvancingPaidLeave.org, one of the only websites designed for businesses that want to support working families – and improve work-life balance for employees who are caregivers or have long-term medical needs – through offering paid family and medical leave.
The site is a one-stop resource for companies who support core paid leave principles such as ensuring paid leave is universal, comprehensive, and offers a meaningful wage and secure job protection. The site also highlights the FAMILY Act, one of the strongest federal legislative solutions proposed to date, which would give workers up to 12 weeks of paid time off for caregiving, childbirth, recovery from domestic violence and more.
AdvancingPaidLeave.org also offers action steps that business leaders can take to help advance a national paid leave policy, through examples of companies who have used their platforms for advocacy:
- Etsy, EILEEN FISHER, Levi Strauss & Co., Patagonia, UncommonGoods and others lobbied Congress in support of the FAMILY Act.
- Melinda French Gates, Alexis Ohanian, Airbnb, Patagonia and ThirdLove spoke publicly about the need for a national paid leave law.
- Baby formula company Bobbie worked with a major recording artist to engage with customers about the country’s failure to support caregivers.
“AdvancingPaidLeave.org is a one-stop shop for employers, media, policy leaders, employees and anyone who wants to see where companies stand on paid leave,” said Jocelyn Frye, president of the National Partnership for Women & Families. “We want to see momentum continue so a national, comprehensive paid leave policy comes to fruition in the near future.”
Designed as a living resource, the site will continue to expand as more companies join the growing coalition of business leaders supporting paid leave. The website relaunch comes ahead of the 33rd anniversary of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and a day after the release of NPWF’s annual report, “Paid Leave Means a Stronger Nation,” which explains the benefits of paid leave in each state throughout the U.S.
