Statement of Jocelyn Frye, President of the National Partnership for Women & Families
WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 17, 2024 – The National Partnership for Women & Families today announced the addition of Jennifer M. Ng’andu to the Board of Directors and Shreya Jani as the new Board Chair.
“I’m excited to welcome Jennifer to the National Partnership’s Board, and to have Shreya lead our Board as the new chair. Both are brilliant leaders, unafraid to blaze new trails and committed to the breadth of work needed to uplift women and working families while prioritizing equity. They are dedicated advocates who bring with them deep knowledge, valuable experience, and strategic thinking and expertise that are essential to the Partnership’s mission,” said Jocelyn C. Frye, President of National Partnership for Women & Families. “I look forward to working with them closely.”
Shreya Jani will serve as the Partnership’s chair of the Board of Directors after joining the Board in 2016. She has a deep background in health care policy, global health issues, and social responsibility, having served in both public and private sector roles. She currently serves as Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs at BeiGene, where she directs the company’s integrated approach to patient engagement and public health policy; social responsibility; colleague, digital and leadership communications; and media relations. She previously led Pfizer’s Corporate Affairs for the vaccines, oncology and consumer health care businesses, and counseled chief executives on communications, reputation, policy and public affairs. At Pfizer, she also sat on the Corporate Affairs Leadership Team and supported the advancement of Asian colleagues from around the world as a founding member of the company’s Global Asian Alliance.
Jennifer Ng’andu joins the Partnership’s Board of Directors with more than a decade of experience advancing policy change and social justice. She is currently the Managing Director, Healthy Children and Families Strategic Portfolio at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation where she helps lead grantmaking activities to advance social and environmental changes to strengthen opportunities for children and families. Jennifer previously led efforts at the National Council of La Raza to advance the organization’s Health and Civil Rights Policy Projects and advance policy changes to support the well-being of Latino and immigrant workers and families. She also helped lead the organization’s efforts on civil rights pursuing equal opportunities and promoting nondiscrimination in key frontiers of civil rights including juvenile justice, telecommunications, and LGBTQ+ equality.
