State-directed payments (SDPs) play a pivotal role in delivering access to affordable healthcare through Medicaid. And Medicaid is the largest source of coverage for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care nationwide.
Without SDPs, rural communities will lose access to critical and life-saving services like emergency care, primary care, pediatric care, obstetrics care, and more.
