Today, the National Partnership for Women & Families announced a major gift from author and philanthropist MacKenzie Scott.
“This is an extraordinary honor. We’re thrilled and grateful to receive this gift,” said Jocelyn Frye, president of National Partnership for Women & Families. “It is a testament to the hard work of our staff elevating issues like paid family medical leave, health equity, reproductive freedom, equal pay and maternal mortality. These funds will help us significantly expand our work on these key issues as well as our capacity for advocacy.”
“The Partnership has gone through substantial and intentional change in recent years to center issues of equity and inclusion in the work that we do.”
“I look forward to continuing to work with our team to grow and strengthen the ways we advocate for women, families and all people who are overlooked by our society. Our role has always been to lift up the voices of people in greatest need – and we will maintain our efforts to dismantle the systemic barriers which still limit the futures of far too many.”
“We greatly appreciate the support of MacKenzie Scott as we prepare to write the next chapter for the National Partnership for Women & Families.”
