National Partnership Welcomes Nima Sheth as Vice President of Health Justice

The National Partnership for Women & Families announced Nima Sheth as the organization’s newest vice president

WASHINGTON, D.C. – October 30, 2025 – The National Partnership for Women & Families announced that Nima Sheth has joined the organization as Vice President of Health Justice. In that role, she will lead the organization’s portfolio on maternal health, reproductive rights and health system transformation to reduce disparities and improve health care outcomes for all women and families.

Nima is an experienced strategist who has worked on policy initiatives at the domestic and global levels to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity, create greater equity for new moms in the workplace, and expand access to quality health care.

Prior to coming to the National Partnership, she led the national Task Force on Maternal Mental Health while serving as the Associate Administrator for Women’s Services at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She also served as a Senior Medical Advisor at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). An assistant professor of clinical psychiatry, she teaches courses on the intersection of public health, policy, and equity at Georgetown University.

“I am delighted to have Nima on the National Partnership’s team,” said Jocelyn C. Frye, President of National Partnership for Women & Families. “Her analytical skills and policy expertise, paired with her commitment to fighting systemic bias within our health care system, make her the perfect leader for these times as our nation’s public health system is unraveling and millions of Americans are at risk of losing access to health care.”

“I am excited to work with policy professionals dedicated to improving our nation’s health care system,“ said Nima Sheth, Vice President of Health Justice. “We are at a pivotal moment in the fight to improve maternal health care and health care overall, to dismantle persistent racial bias within the system, and the National Partnership is perfectly poised to wage that fight.”
