WASHINGTON, D.C. – January 25, 2024 – The National Partnership for Women & Families today announced the addition of Ruchi Bhowmik to the Board of Directors; along with the addition of two new senior fellows: Jamille Fields Allsbrook as Senior Fellow for Health Justice and Tanya Goldman as Senior Fellow for Economic Justice.

“I’m excited to welcome these three incredible women to the National Partnership. Ruchi, Jamille, and Tanya have been extraordinary leaders in their respective fields and bring incredible knowledge and relationships across business, public policy, and government to help guide our work to center working families in policy decisions,” said Jocelyn C. Frye, President of National Partnership for Women & Families. “They have each dedicated their careers to centering equity in their work, and I look forward to the valuable insight they will bring to our teams.”

Ruchi Bhowmik joins the National Partnership’s board with more than a decade of experience in domestic and international public policy from the White House to the private sector. Most recently, she joined Netflix as Vice President of Public Policy, developing strategy for the Netflix relationship with key stakeholders, including regulators, non-governmental organizations, and elected leaders, in the United States and Canada.

Prior to entering the private sector, Bhowmik served in multiple senior-level roles in the United States government, including serving as President Barack Obama’s Deputy Cabinet Secretary and Special Assistant to the President for Policy in the Office of the Chief of Staff. She also serves on the Board of the Center for International Private Enterprise and the Advisory Board for the Center for Global Affairs at New York University, and is a recipient of the South Asian American Bar Association’s Legal Professional of the Year award.

Jamille Fields Allsbrook is an Assistant Professor at Saint Louis University School of Law, where her research and scholarship centers on advancing health equity for women, people of color, people with low-incomes, and young people. Professor Fields joined the SLU Law faculty in the Fall of 2023 after a decades long career in Washington, D.C., including serving at the United States Department of Health and Human Services as the Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of Population Affairs (OPA) and working with various nonprofit organizations focused on reproductive health, rights, and justice, and health care reform and finance.

Tanya Goldman most recently served in the Biden-Harris administration as Senior Counselor to the Secretary of Labor. Prior to joining the administration, she worked at the Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP), where she focused on policy solutions to improve job quality for workers, strengthen worker protections, and increase economic security for low-income working families, with a focus on paid leave and paid sick days. She also served in the Obama-Biden administration in several capacities, including as an Administrative Appeals Judge at the U.S. Department of Labor, and as Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Policy Advisor to the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division.
