Stand for Quality (SFQ) commends the Senate Finance and the House Ways and Means Committees for furthering efforts to reform Medicare physician payment by proposing a new reimbursement system that rewards quality, high-value patient care. We are pleased the plan bases the value of clinician services on quality of care, effective use of resources, and improvement of care delivery. We particularly applaud the Committees’ allocation of sustained funding for multi-stakeholder endorsement and selection of quality measures as well as development of additional quality measures.
Stand for Quality (SFQ) is a coalition of more than 70 consumer, payer, purchaser, clinician, provider, and researcher organizations. For additional information on Stand for Quality, please visit www.standforquality.org.
