The Leading on Leave Index highlights businesses for their family-friendly employee benefits
WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 12, 2024 – Today, the National Partnership for Women & Families opened its “Leading on Leave Index” application to business and human resources leaders at companies across the U.S.
The first-of-its-kind Index gives companies the opportunity to be recognized for the paid family and medical leave benefits they offer to their employees – and intends to bring greater visibility to those companies for creating family-friendly workplaces.
“We are excited to launch the Leading on Leave Index and display the great work of companies that offer paid leave, with the goal of making this essential benefit available to all workers,” said Jocelyn C. Frye, president of the National Partnership for Women & Families. “Our organization has led efforts to expand paid leave for decades, and we are eager to see how many companies join this groundbreaking effort and look forward to reporting the results.”
The application covers a range of topics that are fundamental to supportive paid leave policies for full- and part-time employees. Application questions range from unlimited paid time off to leave for military deployment and more, allowing businesses to explore the full scope of benefits they can offer, and better understand how they rank against their peers.
Companies that participate will receive guidance on best practices to improve their paid leave offerings, and a list of top companies that are leading on paid leave will be recognized as “champions” at LeadingOnLeave.org. Businesses can apply today through Friday, September 13, 2024.
